Server Downtime

The server will be down until further notice. I have been paying out of pocket to keep the server running, and decided that we didn't need as much RAM as we previously had. I requested our RAM be downgraded, since we have such a small playerbase and there was no need for me to spend that much money every month.

Unfortunately I may have downgraded too much, and the server is having issues running with all of our plugins. I do not have the time at the moment to take care of this, due to working 48+ hours a week at my job. I am taking a full backup of the server and will work on it when I can.

I am however considering remaking our old survival server SwarloCraft. This would be an entirely new server, fully updated. All players with ranks on MineCubed would have their ranks transferred over, and I would find a way to compensate for any lost structures you guys have been working on. This is only an idea, and is not set in stone.

If I cannot get MineCubed back up and running, I will post a download link to the world. So you guys may keep your builds, and even continue them in singleplayer.

Here's the Deal

JoeSheep has been taking care of pretty much everything for the server lately. I have neglected it. Now that he has stepped down, I've realized I need to step up. Fortunately Criss1857 has volunteered to help me out with this. We're going to work on getting the server to 1.8, and hopefully we'll bring in some players, new and old alike.

What You Can Do

Other than updating to 1.8, what do you guys think we need to do to make this server even better? What should we change? I'm looking for any suggestions for the server, or even the site. Maybe new graphics for the site, a new layout? A fun new plugin for the server? Changes to the Donor Ranks? I'd like to hear what you guys have to say!

Our Promise

We want to keep this a fun server, where nobody has to worry about griefing, theft, world resets, or the server going down. As long as there is at least one person here to enjoy the server, it'll be here, and so will we.

We are the continuation of Swarlocraft, Obdurocraft and Shocknetwork's survival.

The aim of MineCubed is to bring you the most fun, exciting, smooth and thrilling experience ever!

We are now open for business! It has been a hefty 2 weeks setting this up and making sure everything is perfect and functional.

NEW FEATURES:

Trading!
We now have a trading GUI!

Get within 10 blocks of a player and request a trade with /trade playername. If the player accepts with /trade accept, and inventory GUI will open. Place the items you want to trade in your section and have the other player place theirs. Once ready, click the green wool to indicate you are ready. Once the both players have done so, a 5 second countdown will begin where no players can change the traded items. If you have second thoughts, cancel the trade by clicking the red wool or pressing Esc. If you both like the selection of items, leave the inventory alone until the countdown is over. Both players will receive their traded items at the exact same time. Trading has never been more fair, safe, or easy.

For new players, you can now use the command /resclaim to automatically create yourself a residence with the default limits of 30x30. This is an alias command to run all 3 residence selection and create commands, which will create a residence under the name "playernamesresidence". While this residence still exists you will not be able to use the command again, you will have to use the usual commands:
/res select 30 0 30

/res select vert

/res create name

Mystery crates!
There are mystery crates (chests) placed in spawn off to the right after /spawn in the donor rank room. Here you can use keys, which are obtained either by donating or voting, and receive a random reward!

We have a TeamSpeak server set up, you can connect to it with ts.minecubed.wtf. I will be in there every time I have my laptop on and am working on the server. Feel free to come on and chill with me.

So quickly get on and get started with that city!
